10. What is the Discount Rate?
Every bank charges a discount rate to merchants. The
discount rate is the percentage of each transaction that the
credit card processing company charges to handle the
transaction for you. Our discount rates are exceptionally
low, at just 1.85% for retail (face to face) merchants, and
2.25% for Internet and mail order merchants. High risk
businesses may have to pay slightly more.
